Role: Interior Designer 1/Interior Designer 2
Primary Function: This individual is a key support person to the project team. They work under direct supervision on routine interior design tasks.
Accountable: Project Manager/Lead Interior Designer
Target Utilization Rate: 95% depending on marketing/leadership participation
Classification: Hourly, non-exempt
Licensing: Gaining experience in preparation for NCIDQs/licensing
Project Leadership: Key support to project teams
Firm Leadership: Participates in at least 1 Aspect of Practice
Minimum Qualifications:
- A degree in Interior Design or related field
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a professional office
- Honest, direct and constructive communication
- Knowledge of finished materials, furniture and lighting
- Basic knowledge of programming and functional analysis
- Basic knowledge of space planning principles
- Basic understanding of zoning, building and life safety codes
- Basic knowledge of furniture, finish and fixture specifications
- Manage time effectively regarding project contract, schedule and fee
- Knowledge of computer software including Revit, Adobe Creative Suite and SketchUp
- Ability to hand sketch
- Knowledge of the phases of the design process
- Work effectively within a collaborative team environment
- Consistently meet deadlines, completing tasks as previously defined

- Wage is $25 - $35 per hours DOE
- Vacation Pay of 2 to 4 weeks per year, depending on years in career
- Sick Leave of 80 hours per year
- Parental Leave of 4 weeks, after one year of employment
