Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to diagnose acute and chronic pain conditions accurately.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans utilizing various modalities such as medication management, injections, and minimally invasive procedures.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems to document patient encounters, treatment plans, and progress notes efficiently.
- Perform specialized procedures including nerve blocks, botulinum toxin treatments, and other interventional pain management techniques.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including radiologists, anesthesiologists, and physical therapists to optimize patient outcomes.
- Educate patients on pain management strategies, lifestyle modifications, and post-treatment care plans.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain the highest standards of patient confidentiality and safety.
Skills
- Valid medical license with certification in pain medicine or anesthesiology.
- Extensive experience with EHR systems such as Epic or EMR/EHR platforms.
- Proficiency in medical imaging interpretation relevant to pain diagnosis and intervention.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare diagnosis, pharmacology, and procedural techniques related to pain management.
- Familiarity with medical specialties including neurology, orthopedics, radiology, and anesthesiology.
- Excellent communication skills for patient education and interdisciplinary collaboration.
