What are the responsibilities and job description for the Yard Associate position at Ricci Lumber?
IMMEDIATE OPENING
Responsibilities: Perform daily distribution yard activities and customer service for our operation. Assist in box truck deliveries, loading and unloading cabinets, windows and doors.
Duties: Includes receiving, storing, and shipping/building of customer loads. Operate lifts, trucks and other handling equipment. Other jobs include customer service activities, good housekeeping and following safety programs to ensure compliance of OSHA regulation. Understand and apply fundamental mathematical calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division). Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required. The work is in a normal warehouse environment with physical exertion. Will perform duties in all weather conditions both indoors and outside.
Requirements: Associates must be safety aware, job fit and a team player. They must have good work standards, while building customer loyalty and good at making decisions. Good communications and math skills are a must.
Operational hours: Monday - Friday 6:30-4:30
a rare Saturday for inventory or special projects (couple of times a year)
No Sundays with exception a special event.
Work Schedule: Typically, 40-45 hr a week
Schedule is static but will change seasonally
