What are the responsibilities and job description for the Heavy Equipment Mechanic position at Riccelli Northern/Syracuse Sand and Gravel?
Job Duties:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues.
- Perform routine maintenance and major repairs on heavy equipment.
- Inspect and service diesel engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems.
- Ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate service records and adhere to safety standards.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 2 years of experience in heavy equipment repair and maintenance (loaders, dozers, crushers, conveyors')
- Ability to diagnose and repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and powertrain components.
- Proficient with diagnostic tools, welding, and fabrication.
- Valid drivers license.
- Ability to lift up to 75lbs and work in various conditions
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to safety.
