Pay: $29.00 – $35.00 per hour depending on experience
Riccabona's Landscape & Tree Service, Inc. is seeking an experienced, dependable Crew Lead to join our team. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, leads by example, and enjoys working outdoors.
Responsibilities
- Lead a 3–5 person landscape maintenance and tree crew.
- Perform mowing, edging, hedge trimming, pruning, weed control, and general landscape maintenance.
- Operate commercial landscape equipment safely.
- Read and follow daily work schedules.
- Ensure jobs are completed efficiently and to company standards.
- Train and mentor crew members.
- Perform daily safety meetings and enforce safe work practices.
- Complete quality inspections before leaving each job.
- Communicate with management regarding job progress, equipment needs, and customer concerns.
- Maintain clean trucks, trailers, and equipment.
- Assist with irrigation repairs, tree work, and fire fuel reduction projects as needed.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year in a leadership or foreman position preferred.
- Valid California driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to legally drive company trucks and trailers.
- Experience operating:
- Weed eaters
- Hedge trimmers
- Backpack blowers
- Chainsaws
- Pole saws
- Ability to lift 75 pounds.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Must arrive on time and be dependable.
Preferred Experience
- Irrigation troubleshooting and repair.
- Tree trimming and removals.
- Fire fuel reduction.
- Brush cutting.
- Mini excavator experience.
- Trailer towing experience.
- First Aid/CPR certification (preferred).
