POSITION PURPOSE: Monitors and maintains current inventory levels; processes purchasing orders as required; tracks orders and investigates problems. Records purchases, maintains database, performs physical count of inventory, and reconciles actual stock count.
Essential Functions And Basic Duties
The physical environment may require the employee to work both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions. This position may be working in the warehouse under various indoor environmental conditions, including supplemental heating in the winter months and without air-conditioning in the summer months. May be requested to work overtime and weekends. The position may occasionally be exposed to ruptured, leaking packages, some of which may contain Hazardous Materials. Where appropriate, proper safety equipment should be utilized and/or appropriate personnel notified. Frequently required to use personal protective equipment to prevent exposure to hazardous materials and chemicals. This job may require lifting of up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Essential Functions And Basic Duties
- Unloads trucks of all boxes, drums, returned merchandise, and any other inbound freight, documenting any damages or missing products.
- Receives incoming items according to the most recent procedure.
- All material received must be inspected for damage, use of proper pallets, and accuracy to packing list prior to signing the delivery receipt.
- Will work with plant Buyer/Planner if there are any issues with incoming materials.
- All raw materials received must be properly receipted into Chempax and moved to its designated area within 24 hours.
- Sorts and routes all items to the proper in-plant department.
- Acts on returned goods within 24 hours from notification of the disposition of such goods.
- Stages components to allow the manufacturing floor to fulfill the production schedule in a timely basis.
- Removes and puts away QA approved finished goods throughout the day as needed.
- Maintains assigned stock and overflow areas by keeping inventory rotated and fronted.
- Controls access and inventory position of all DEA regulated material(s).
- Performs cycle counting according to the assigned schedule. Documents and resolves discrepancies.
- Takes part in year-end inventory process.
- Pulls and disposes of short-dated items as directed.
- Maintains equipment in good working order.
- Performs daily inspections on lift truck, and picker and uses them properly. All lift truck operators are to inspect equipment prior to use, unless the equipment was inspected that same day by another trained operator.
- All proper safety rules for operating a lift truck or picker are to be followed as trained, safety belts or harnesses, inspections, load carrying etc.
- Maintains working knowledge of the laws and regulations applicable to the storage and transportation of all RICCA CHEMICAL products, particularly those governing Hazardous Materials.
- Prioritizes work in a timely manner as the day progresses to ensure completion of all daily responsibilities.
- Utilizes the computers to produce the tasks/information needed.
- Consistently meets/exceeds standards assigned within Functional Training Document (FTD) program.
- Any other tasks deemed necessary.

- Scanning and sorting incoming and outgoing stock.

- Basic knowledge or experience in warehouse procedures.
