Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Full Time Medical Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities

  • Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, including gathering medical histories and recording vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature.
  • Prepare patients for examinations and procedures by explaining processes and ensuring comfort.
  • Support clinical procedures across various specialties including dermatology, hospital medicine, urgent care, emergency medicine, and outpatient clinics.
  • Manage electronic health record (EHR) systems efficiently to document patient information accurately and maintain confidentiality.
  • Perform basic diagnostic tasks such as taking X-rays or assisting with medication administration under supervision.
  • Conduct ICD coding for diagnoses to ensure proper billing and documentation accuracy.
  • Support inpatient and outpatient care by monitoring vital signs, assisting with medication administration, and providing compassionate patient service.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of clinical areas while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care across various medical disciplines including internal medicine and physiology-focused specialties.

Experience

  • Must be bilingual in Spanish and English
  • Full Time position
  • Certified Medical Assistant (Preferred)
  • Experience with eClinicalWorks is preferred
  • Prior experience working in internal medicine is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, ICD coding, and basic life support (BLS).
  • Knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology
  • Experience in a clinical patient setting is preferred
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Basic computer literacy with intermediate Word, Outlook, Excel and EMR systems
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
