ACCOUNTING CLERK GENERAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIESProvide support to the Accounting & Finance ManagerPerform primary Accounts Payable functions to include handling weekly bill payments, researching invoices, and assisting with monthly reconciliationsComplete daily review of credit card accounts activity for adjustments to the expense tracking and QuickBooksMaintain accurate figures in the expense tracking log with weekly balancing against QuickBooks figuresAssist in primary A/R functions to include receiving, recording, and tracking all incoming payments dailyWork closely with Recruiting/ Research Ops Leads, Departmental Leads and Managers to research project related billing information, answer questions, and resolves billing issues within or outside of a billing periodUpdate and reconcile PO tracking database and add new customer accounts dailyPerform administrative duties, such as entering data, facilitating audits, creating documents, spreadsheets and updating forms. Respond to general client calls, emails, and correspondence on a daily basisDemonstrate the ability and willingness to learn unfamiliar tasks and equipment operation within the scope of position and to accept change in a positive and professional mannerPromptly identify problems and effectively utilize resources to address problems in a satisfactory mannerAssist with running multi-state payroll and running payroll reportsSet up state tax and UI accounts when User Research International enters new states and countriesRun benefits reports and maintain benefits enrollmentsMaintain quality of service during periods of increased or decreased workloadParticipate in implementing a HRIS/payroll system ACCOUNTING CLERK EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES PROFILEProficiency with QuickBooks Desktop or QuickBooks Online or a billing softwareStrong proficiency using productivity tools such as Microsoft Office Suite and Google Drive, and their spreadsheets2 years of experience working in a billing specialist, accounting clerk or similar role2 years of experience working in a small business setting (must be comfortable to wear many hats)2 years of experience in full-cycle accountingOutstanding customer orientation and service focusExcellent communication and analytical skillsSelf-motivated, like numbers and have an eye for detailMust be proactive, efficient, extremely organizedSolid problem-solving skillsProfessional demeanor, positive disposition, practiced at discretionExcellent writing/grammar and interpersonal communication skillsDemonstrated time-management experience in a deadline-driven environmentInterested in learning new tasks and providing ideas and suggestions in new ways to manage dutiesMaintain high standards for customer service and professionalismAble to work independently as well as in a team atmosphere Benefits:401(k)Dental insuranceHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offRetirement planVision insurance
