Key Responsibilities
The Program Coordinator is the primary support for Rianda House programs to help deliver diverse and exciting programs and activities to Rianda House participants in accordance with the organization’s mission, vision and values.
The Program Coordinator will undertake a variety of administrative and program tasks including, but not limited to, organization, promoting, and assisting with on-site programs and activities.
The Program Coordinator must be organized, dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with all types of communities and stakeholders. This position will provide customer service in-person, off-site and via the phone to provide information and assistance to staff, participants, and the public. This vital position reports to the Program Director.
Program Coordinator
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of all programs and instructors, including scheduling.
- Greet all instructors and presenters before their program and ensure they have all necessary supplies and technological support.
- Develop and maintain relationships with our partners to offer referral services when needed.
- Assist with check-in for classes or new enrollment as needed
- Help build positive relations within the Rianda House team and with external parties
- Provide feedback and suggestions for program growth and development
- Function as a liaison between program participants and the program staff to ensure successful and effective programs
- Make sure entirety of house inside looks neat and clean, including bathrooms
- Attend outreach and community events as needed
- Provide prompt intervention in the event of a crisis both to stop the crisis and to notify, when indicated, persons and agencies necessary to resolve the situation.
Qualifications
- Experience in Education, Recreation, and/or Gerontology.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- A heart for service demonstrated by patience, optimism, diplomacy, friendliness, and a genuine caring nature.
- Basic competence with digital technology.
- A strong sense of personal responsibility, organization, and attention to detail.
- Ability to set goals and prioritize many tasks.
- Comfortable working independently and with a team.
- Ability to set up tables and chairs and to lift 30 pounds.
- Current CPR/First Aid certificate or willingness to obtain this certification within 90 days of employment offer.
- Valid CA Driver’s license and proof of insurance
- Bilingual preferred (English and Spanish)
