EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Candidates must possess a minimum of one year of experience directly engaging with and supervising adolescent students (middle school/high school age) in roles focused on campus security and behavioral oversight. This practical, job-relevant experience must have occurred within the last five years. EDUCATION: Verification of a High School diploma, a GED certificate, or a higher degree, supplemented by training or coursework in behavior modification techniques, student supervision, or a closely related field will be required at time of hire. Certification & Required Documentation You must provide verification for the following, and all documents must be current at the time of employment: • Emergency Response Training (CPR/First Aid): o A current First Aid and CPR certificate covering Infant, Child, and Adult protocols. o The CPR training component must be a verified in-person course. o Certifications must be issued by a recognized organization (e.g., the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross). o These certifications must be kept active as a condition of continued employment.

  • Certificate Copy (Certificate - School Security Officer Training (SB 390) OR Campus Law Enforcement Course (PC 832g). In compliance with EC 38001.5.)
  • Certification (POST LEVEL II (PC 832))
  • Driver's License Copy (Verification of a valid California Driver's License)
  • Letter(s) of Recommendation (Two (2) recent letters of recommendation are REQUIRED. The letters must be signed and dated within the last two (2) years. Acceptable signatures are: electronic document (Docusign or similar platform) or handwritten signatures. Typed signatures will not be accepted.)

Contingent Employment Offers • Offers are contingent upon: o Passing a pre-employment physical examination and a TB test. o Favorable information from the Department of Justice (DOJ) and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) background check. Foreign Transcript Evaluation • If you have coursework from outside the U.S., you must obtain a complete evaluation of foreign transcripts/degrees from one of the approved organizations listed on the District's website before applying, and electronically attach a copy.
