Position Overview
Rialto Jewelry is seeking a dependable and enthusiastic Office Assistant and Jewelry Sales Associate for a part-time role. You will support daily store operations, assist clients in person and over the phone, and help coordinate repairs and store tasks. This role is ideal for someone with strong communication skills who enjoys working with people and is interested in gaining experience in the jewelry industry.
Schedule
- Thursday, Friday, and Saturday – REQUIRED
- Part time schedule - Approximately 9 hour shifts each day
Key Responsibilities
- Answer incoming phone calls and assist clients in a professional, friendly, and welcoming manner
- Communicate with clients regarding jewelry repairs, completed orders, and pickup coordination
- Notify clients when repairs or orders are ready for pickup via phone or text
- Accurately enter transactions, repair orders, and customer information into the store system
- Support the team with daily operational tasks and showroom organization
- Greet customers warmly and assist with basic inquiries when the showroom is busy
- Maintain a polished, professional presence within the showroom environment
- Develop product knowledge and learn jewelry sales and repair processes through on-the-job training
Qualifications
- Previous customer-facing, luxury retail, or jewelry experience is highly preferred
- Available for the scheduled workdays - Thursday, Friday, and Saturday – REQUIRED
- Strong phone presence with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Friendly, enthusiastic, and customer-focused attitude
- Professional appearance and polished presentation
- Comfortable interacting with clients in a professional retail environment
- Highly dependable, punctual, and responsible
- Comfortable learning about the jewelry industry and building product knowledge if prior experience is limited
Compensation
- $17 - $20 hourly based on experience and expertise
While this role begins with a focus on customer support and administrative tasks, there is opportunity for growth within the store. As you develop product knowledge and sales skills, the position can transition into a more sales-focused role.
