Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced IBM Sterling Integrator (SI) EDI Analyst with strong proficiency in Map development to join our client engagement as a contractor. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining EDI and non-EDI maps, ensuring seamless B2B integrations using IBM Sterling B2B Integrator (SI). This role requires a deep understanding of EDI standards, integration processes, and SI-based map and business process configurations.
Location : Onsite (Bentonville, AR)
Key Responsibilities
Map Development & Integration
• Design, build, and optimize EDI and non-EDI maps using IBM Sterling Mapper or equivalent tools.
• Develop and maintain translation maps for ANSI X12, EDIFACT, XML, and JSON data formats.
• Configure envelopes, trading partner setups, and communication parameters to support data exchange.
• Ensure accuracy and performance of maps through rigorous testing and validation.
Business Process Configuration
• Design and implement Business Processes (BPs) within IBM Sterling Integrator.
• Integrate SI with internal applications, trading partners, and enterprise systems.
• Configure communication protocols such as AS2, SFTP, FTP, HTTPS, MQ, and VAN.
• Develop reusable components and templates to improve process efficiency.
Support & Maintenance
• Monitor, debug, and resolve business process execution issues and system alerts.
• Provide Level 2/3 support for Sterling Integrator-related issues and incidents.
• Assist with system upgrades, patches, and performance tuning.
Collaboration & Documentation
• Work closely with business analysts, integration architects, and partner onboarding teams.
• Document map specifications, BP configurations, and solution designs.
• Provide knowledge transfer, mentoring, and training to junior team members.
Required Qualifications
Technical Expertise
• Strong hands-on experience with IBM Sterling B2B Integrator (SI), BPML, and Map Editor.
• Proven track record in developing, testing, and deploying maps and business processes in SI.
• Solid understanding of EDI standards (ANSI X12, EDIFACT) and data transformation concepts.
• Experience with communication protocols (AS2, SFTP, FTP, HTTPS, MQ).
• Proficiency in XML, JSON, and related schemas (XSD, DTD).
Professional Skills
• Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with partner onboarding and certificate/key management.
• Familiarity with Sterling File Gateway (SFG) and Sterling Control Center (SCC).
• Exposure to cloud-based B2B integrations (Azure, GCP, or AWS).
Education & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
• 7–9 years of relevant experience in IBM Sterling Integrator, with a strong focus on Map development and EDI/B2B integration.
