What are the responsibilities and job description for the Product Manager - Post Transaction position at Ria Money Transfer?
About the Company
Ria Money Transfer is a business segment of Euronet Worldwide, Inc. (NASDAQ: EEFT). We make it fast, reliable, and affordable for people to send money abroad. Ria has become one of the largest players in traditional remittances, and now we're focused on making online money transfers simple and accessible to everyone.
About the Role
We're looking for a Product Manager to build out Ria's brand-new Post-Transaction Experience team, which owns everything that happens after a money transfer goes through — from why customers cancel to how they get help when something goes wrong. You'll join right as this team is standing up: today it's just one person carrying the load, so you'll help build both the product and how the team works as you go.
Most of this today is manual: a customer hits a problem, calls support, and an agent tags the issue by hand. Your job is to replace that with contextual, in-product help and AI-assisted self-serve — while partnering with Payments, Fraud, Design, and Customer Success, where there's a lot of overlap, to figure out what to fix first.
If you like using data to discover AI-assisted automation opportunities and want to help stand up a brand-new team from the ground up — we'd love to talk.
What You'll Do
Discover Opportunities
- Dig into why customers cancel transactions and where they get stuck after a transfer goes through — the funnel issues, the friction points, and the moments that send someone to support.
- Investigate root cause on transaction problems — payment failures, fraud holds, delivery delays, and everything in between.
- Talk to customers, support agents, and internal teams to understand what's driving contact volume today, and where a self-serve fix could replace a phone call.
- Turn what you learn into clear, prioritized product requirements for Engineering and Design.
Drive Execution
- Write clear specs for the contextual, in-product help that replaces a support call — the right message, at the right moment, for cancellations, payment issues, and delivery status.
- Bring AI into the experience so customers can self-serve solutions to transaction problems instead of picking up the phone.
- Automate the manual tagging and triage a phone operator does by hand today, working across our internal tools, third-party APIs, and observability tools like LogRocket.
- Collaborate hands-on with Engineering and Design to ship each improvement — you're comfortable prototyping and iterating directly with your engineering team.
- Start small, measure impact on contact volume and cancellations, then expand.
Own Outcomes
- Own the metrics that matter for this team: cancellation rate, support contact volume, and self-serve resolution rate.
- As one of the first people on a brand-new team, help set the roadmap as much as execute it.
- Push for measurable impact, not just output.
- Own delivery and results, adjusting your approach based on outcomes.
Align Stakeholders
- Partner closely with Payments and Fraud, where there's significant overlap — payment issues and fraud holds are often behind the same cancellation.
- Work with Design and Customer Success to close the loop between what support hears from customers and what gets built.
- Manage senior, peer-level stakeholders as true partners — bring product and customer-experience thinking to the table, influence the conversation, and hold your ground when it's warranted.
- Make trade-offs and opportunity costs visible with data, and advocate for what's right for the customer, not just the loudest voice in the room.
What We're Looking For
Every PM on our team
- 3 years of product experience in software, fintech, or online services.
- Strong generalist. You are good at many things, and you are curious about what drives customer behavior.
- Strong with data. You pull and analyze product data yourself, and you turn it into decisions.
- Strong UX sense. You can pinpoint what makes a product experience good or bad, and explain why.
- Technical enough to build. You are not a software engineer, but you can build prototypes and small tools with AI coding tools, debug them, and make them work.
- Proven record of shipping and iterating on impactful products.
- Hands-on, with a bias for action and comfortable diving into the details.
- Able to zoom in and out between strategy and execution.
- Clear communicator who backs decisions with evidence.
- Degree in business, computer science, design, engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Familiar with tools like Segment, Amplitude, Branch, Posthog, Iterable, or LogRocket.
- You regularly explore new apps and often find yourself analyzing what makes them work, or not.
For this role
- Comfortable joining a brand-new, still-forming team — you'll help shape not just the product, but how the team works, from the ground up.
- Deeply hands-on and technical: you build prototypes and small tools yourself, iterate directly with engineering, and understand how solutions get implemented under the hood.
- Strong stakeholder management with senior, peer-level partners — comfortable bringing your own product point of view to the table, influencing the conversation, and holding your ground.
- Comfortable turning a highly manual process into something automated — you don't need everything mapped out before you start improving it.
- Experience investigating root cause on customer-facing issues (support, fraud, payments, or similar) and translating that into clear product requirements.
Nice to Have
- Background in operations, internal tooling, or CSR/support systems and tooling, including ticketing systems.
- International experience — you've used a remittance or similar cross-border product yourself and understand what it's like to send money abroad.
- Experience solving a similar problem with a modern, automation-first mindset.
Practical
- Fluent in English, with experience working across time zones and remote teams.
- Willing to work in a hybrid setup, with at least Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in the office.
- Reside in Denver, CO or be open to relocating.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
