As a Design Engineer, you will sit at the intersection of product design and front-end engineering, helping bring our brand and product experiences to life through high-quality, performant, and aesthetically refined user interfaces. You’ll collaborate closely with designers, engineers, and product managers to transform ideas into functional, elegant experiences—bridging the gap between design intent and production reality.

You will champion UI polish, design systems, and design-led development practices, ensuring every interaction feels intuitive, consistent, and on-brand. Your work will directly shape how customers experience our platform, helping us build one of the most seamless remittance solutions in the world.
Responsibilities
- Translate high-fidelity designs into responsive, accessible, and maintainable UI components.
- Collaborate with product designers and front-end engineers to build, evolve, and maintain our design system and component libraries.
- Prototype interactions and animations to test and validate ideas quickly.
- Own the final layer of visual polish—sweating the details across color, spacing, motion, and behavior.
- Build tools or internal plugins that bridge design and development workflows.
- Act as a design advocate within the engineering team and an engineering advocate within the design team.
- Participate in user experience reviews and contribute to improving UI/UX from both a technical and design perspective.
- Push the boundaries of what’s possible in the front-end layer to deliver delightful product experiences.
- Experience in a hybrid design-engineering role, or as a front-end developer with a strong design eye.
- Solid understanding of modern front-end technologies (HTML, CSS/SCSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, React or similar frameworks).
- Strong grasp of design principles: layout, typography, color, spacing, accessibility, and interaction design.
- Proficient in Figma (including design systems and tokens), with a knack for translating visual specs into code with precision.
- Experience working with design systems and building reusable, scalable UI components.
- Ability to prototype micro-interactions and animations to enhance user experience.
- Comfortable working in a cross-functional team with designers, developers, and product managers.
- Detail-oriented with a passion for polish—your CSS is clean, your UIs are beautiful, and your code feels as elegant as the design.
- Experience working in fintech, remittance, or other highly regulated environments.
- Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG) and performance optimization techniques.
- Experience contributing to or maintaining large-scale design systems.
- Interest in developing internal tooling to streamline design–dev workflows.
- Contributions to open source UI tools, design systems, or creative coding projects.

Salary : $110,000 - $130,000
