Duties
- Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate curriculum focused on early childhood development and preschool readiness.
- Supervise and engage with children during classroom activities, outdoor play, meals, and rest periods to ensure safety and positive behavior management.
- Support classroom management by maintaining a clean, organized, and stimulating learning environment that encourages exploration and creativity.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and daily activities to foster strong home-school connections.
- Follow all mandated reporting laws and safety protocols, including pediatric first aid and CPR procedures, to ensure child safety at all times.
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by implementing individualized strategies in collaboration with specialists and lead teachers.
- Participate in ongoing professional development related to child development instruction, classroom management, and early childhood education best practices.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with young children in a daycare center, preschool, or childcare setting is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and experience with child supervision are essential.
- Certification in first aid, CPR (Childhood/Infant), and pediatric first aid is required or obtainable upon hire.
- Familiarity with special education practices and working with children with disabilities is a plus.
- Strong communication skills for parent interaction and teamwork within the classroom environment.
- Ability to manage behavior effectively using positive reinforcement techniques.
- Passion for nurturing children’s growth through engaging teaching experiences such as babysitting, nannying, or classroom instruction.
