We are presently seeking a Bartender for our Snow to Sun community located in Weslaco, TX, who will oversee the bar while providing excellent customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for all customers for 15 hours per week on a temporary basis.

As a Bartender, you will:

• Take drink orders from patrons.
• Serve wine, beer and snacks.
• Collect money for drinks served.
• Balance cash receipts.
• Check identification of customers in order to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol.
• Clean glasses, utensils and bar equipment.
• Clean bars, work areas and tables.
• Arrange bottles and glasses to make attractive displays.
• Order or requisition beer, wine and supplies.
• Unloading and stocking bottles, glasses and other related supplies.
• Monitor beer kegs and change out when necessary.
• Comply with food and beverage regulations.
• Attempt to limit problems and liability related to customers’ excessive drinking by taking steps such as persuading customers to stop drinking or ordering taxis or other transportation for intoxicated patrons.
• Use best judgement when dealing with inebriated customers. Contact local law enforcement should the situation permit.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• A minimum of 1-2 years of bartending experience.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving and decision making skills.
• Ability to multitask and be a team player in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift or move up to 100 pounds.
