Role Description The Fundraising Consultant is a full-time, on-site role based in Boynton Beach, FL, responsible for designing, leading, and evaluating fundraising initiatives that sustain and grow Rhonda’s Promise programs. This role develops and executes fundraising strategies, including individual giving campaigns, corporate sponsorships, events, and community-based fundraising efforts. The Fundraising Consultant builds and manages relationships with donors, partners, and community stakeholders, preparing compelling proposals, presentations, and stewardship materials. Day-to-day responsibilities include researching funding opportunities, managing donor databases and reporting, tracking fundraising performance against goals, and collaborating with program and communications staff to align fundraising messages with organizational impact. The role also supports grant prospecting and reporting, ensuring all fundraising activities uphold the organization’s mission, values, and ethical standards.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in fundraising strategy and campaign development, including individual and corporate giving, sponsorships, and events.
- Strong skills in donor and stakeholder relationship management, including prospect cultivation, stewardship, and community engagement.
- Proficiency with fundraising tools and processes, such as donor databases/CRM systems, reporting, budgeting, and basic data analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, including proposal writing, donor outreach, presentations, and storytelling focused on impact.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams, partners, and community members, with a commitment to equity, inclusion, and cultural humility.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, including setting priorities, meeting deadlines, and managing multiple fundraising initiatives.
- Previous experience in nonprofit fundraising or development, ideally within community-based or youth-serving organizations, is highly beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Business, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
