Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site position for a Public Safety Officer located in downtown Lima, OH. The Public Safety Officer will ensure the safety and security of students, staff, and campus property. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting patrols, responding to emergencies, enforcing laws and campus regulations, providing assistance to students and employees, and promoting a safe and welcoming environment.
Qualifications
- Ability to perform Emergency Services and respond effectively to emergency situations
- Experience in Physical Security and Law Enforcement practices
- Strong Customer Service skills with the ability to interact professionally and courteously with diverse groups
- Knowledge and experience in Public Safety operations and procedures
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to adapt to varied situations and handle stressful conditions
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certifications in public safety, law enforcement, or emergency management preferred
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a background check
