This position is responsible for safely transporting customer vehicles, performing quality control inspections, maintaining the dealership lot, and supporting the Service Department with daily operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform final quality control inspections on completed repairs before customer delivery.

• Safely transport customer vehicles to and from customer locations, vendors, and other facilities.

• Move and stage medium- and heavy-duty trucks throughout the dealership property.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional appearance of the lot and facility.

• Assist the Service Department with vehicle movement and operational support.

• Complete basic vehicle inspections and accurately report any damage or concerns.

• Operate commercial vehicles safely while complying with all DOT regulations and company policies.

• Represent Rhode Island Truck Center professionally when interacting with customers.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL (Class A or B) with an acceptable driving record.

• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Certificate.

• Hazmat Endorsement is preferred but not required.

• Basic mechanical knowledge of medium- and heavy-duty trucks is preferred.

• Strong communication and customer service skills.

• Self-motivated with excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.

• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

• Previous dealership, fleet, transportation, or commercial truck experience is a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

• Frequently climb into and out of commercial trucks.

• Stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

• Safely operate commercial vehicles and equipment throughout the workday.

Job Type: Full-Time

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday

• Overtime available as needed
