POSITION SUMMARY

The Operations Support Administrator is responsible for providing and coordinating organizational and clerical support to the Operations Supervisors.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Support Production Supervisors with Employee Performance documentation

· Coordinate with Corporate Human Resources to address employee relations

· General Production Support

· Support and assist Group Leads and Operations supervision with administrative support

· Maintain Overtime Sign Up Sheets

· Assist with Labor Tickets and Time Allocation

· Communicate, and implement employee engagement programs and activities to promote employee retention based on survey results

· Ensure all new hires complete key training and policy acknowledgments as part of the on-boarding process and transition to the floor, identify and introduce mentor for new hire

· Manage and track 30, 60, 90-day performance evaluations

· Complete off-boarding activities including exit interviews for voluntary termination

· Collaborate on safety programs as an active member of the safety committee

· Track attendance and provide detailed reports to supervisors daily

· Process employee related forms to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures

· Assist HR with employee benefit enrollments and escalate any concerns to Corporate Human Resources as needed.

· Provide guidance and training regarding the performance management process to supervisors

· Track training and development initiatives

· Communicates Policies and Procedures related to the Collective Bargaining Agreements, handles 1stlevel grievances and reports outcome to Corporate Human Resources

· Ensure physical and electronic personnel records are maintained

· Perform other duties as required within the nature and level of work.

· Report suggestion/recommendations to job supervisor

· Perform other duties as assigned

EDUCATION:

· Preferred: Associate or bachelor’s degree or related administrative support experience in an industrial operation

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Effective verbal and written communications. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

· Must have excellent communication and customer service skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

· Ability to handle a high degree of confidential and sensitive information and the ability to work with all levels within the organization.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

· The performance of this position involves exposure to construction or industrial areas where the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, hard hats and hearing protection is required.

· Must be able to work in a variety of physical positions, including sitting, standing, walking, and driving in an automobile

· May require walking and standing on irregular, uneven surfaces in an industrial setting and possibly at increased heights climbing and descending ladders and ship stairways.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
