Overview
We are seeking 2 skilled Carpenters to join our team. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in various carpentry techniques and be able to work independently or as part of a team. This role involves constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials. The Carpenter will be responsible for ensuring high-quality workmanship while adhering to safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Construct, install, and repair structures such as frameworks, walls, roofs, and cabinets.
- Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials using hand tools and power tools.
- Ensure all work is plumb, level, and square according to specifications.
- Perform trim carpentry tasks including installation of moldings and baseboards.
- Execute masonry work as needed for various projects.
- Apply caulking to seal joints and seams in construction projects.
- Restore and refurbish existing structures to improve their functionality or aesthetics.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople such as electricians and plumbers to complete projects efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Carpenter or similar role in the construction industry.
- Proficient in using hand tools and power tools commonly used in carpentry.
- Experience with cabinet installation and construction painting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and best practices in carpentry.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
