Key Responsibilities
Shipment & Production Delay Management
- Develop and maintain shipment and production delay notification processes.
- Monitor manufacturing schedules, inventory availability, transportation status, and customer commitments to identify potential delivery risks.
- Analyze production and logistics disruptions and determine customer and business impacts.
- Deploy delay notifications to appropriate stakeholders in a timely and accurate manner.
- Manage escalation processes for critical customer orders, plant disruptions, and transportation issues.
- Track and report notification effectiveness, response times, and resolution status.
- Ensure consistency and accuracy of delay communication across all affected functions.
- Develop and maintain supply chain performance dashboards and reports.
- Analyze key metrics including:
- On-Time In Full (OTIF)
- Schedule Adherence
- Production Attainment
- Inventory Performance
- Transportation Performance
- Backlog and Order Fulfillment
- Delay Notification Accuracy and Timeliness
- Create executive-level summaries and operational performance reports.
- Identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for process improvement through data analysis.
- Support business reviews with data-driven recommendations.
- Partner with Production Planning and Logistics teams to identify and mitigate supply chain risks.
- Support production scheduling and material flow analysis.
- Assist in evaluating production constraints and capacity impacts.
- Participate in daily operations reviews and supply chain performance meetings.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to improve visibility of material and shipment status.
- Design and implement standardized delay communication workflows.
- Develop automation solutions using reporting and business intelligence tools.
- Lead initiatives to improve visibility, responsiveness, and supply chain execution.
- Create and maintain work instructions, process documentation, and reporting standards.
- Drive continuous improvement projects focused on service, productivity, and operational efficiency.
- Maintain data integrity across ERP, planning, and reporting systems.
- Support development and enhancement of plant supply chain tools and dashboards.
- Utilize Excel, Power BI, ERP systems, and other analytics platforms to deliver operational insights.
- Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders on system enhancements and reporting requirements.
Required
- 2 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, production planning, manufacturing operations, or business analytics.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred).
- Experience with Power BI or similar reporting tools.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Experience in manufacturing or plant operations.
- Knowledge of transportation and logistics processes.
- Understanding of production planning and inventory management principles.
- Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement experience.
- APICS/ASCM certification or equivalent supply chain certification.
