Full-Time Medical Office Position Available
Schedule: Monday–Friday
We are seeking a friendly, energetic, and outgoing individual to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a responsible professional with prior experience in a physician’s office who can thrive in a busy, fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively with others. Flexibility to travel as needed is required.
Position Summary
This role is responsible for coordinating all aspects of a patient’s visit to the clinic, including scheduling, front desk reception, medical records management, data entry, and other duties as assigned. *Please note: During training, travel to our Orlando location may be required.*
Key Responsibilities
* Greet patients and visitors warmly and respond to inquiries or direct them appropriately
* Schedule, confirm, cancel, and reschedule patient appointments accurately in the electronic scheduling system
* Update patient demographics and necessary information
* Check patients in and out
* Follow up on no-shows and ensure patient compliance with appointments
* Answer incoming calls, check voicemails, and document all patient communications
* Provide excellent customer service at all times
Medical Records
* Maintain patient records with the highest level of professionalism and confidentiality
* Request and release medical records in accordance with policies and procedures
* Process FMLA and disability paperwork as needed
* Stay informed on current insurance policies accepted by the practice and maintain up-to-date files
* Perform additional related duties as assigned by the Office Manager
Additional Duties
* Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment in compliance with infection control policies
* Understand and assist with the patient referral process
* Complete all assigned tasks and responsibilities in a manner appropriate to the patient population served
* Support other tasks as assigned by the Physician or Practice Administrators
* Occasional travel to the Orlando location as needed
Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent
* Minimum of 1 year of medical office or general office experience
* Strong customer service skills
* Bilingual preferred
* Knowledge of medical terminology
* Effective communication skills with patients, co-workers, and management
* Proficiency with computers and general office equipment; EHR/EMR experience preferred
* Reliable transportation
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly
* Ability to manage frequent interruptions and a high volume of activity
* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
* Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and team-oriented
* Willingness to travel during training is required
* Background check required

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
