Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team. The Registered Nurse will be responsible for administering infusion therapies, educating patients, and monitoring their progress to ensure safe and effective treatment. This role requires exceptional clinical skills, attention to detail, and a patient-first approach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer intravenous (IV) medications, fluids, and other infusion therapies per physician orders.
- Monitor patients during infusions, addressing any adverse reactions promptly.
- Educate patients and caregivers on treatment plans, medication administration, and potential side effects.
- Perform patient assessments, including vital signs and IV site evaluations.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all patient interactions, procedures, and outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, infection control practices, and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
- Manage and maintain infusion equipment and supplies.
Qualifications:
- Active New Jersey Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience; infusion experience preferred.
- Proficiency in IV placement. experience with PICC lines, ports is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Current BLS/ACLS certification.
