About the Practice
We are a new and growing rheumatology practice in Central Pennsylvania focused on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. This is a unique opportunity to join a practice at an early stage and grow with it over time.
Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Medical Assistant (MA) to support our clinic operations. The position will begin as part-time (1 day per week) in clinic and rest of the days taking phone calls from home and is expected to expand to up to 4 days per week in clinic as patient volume grows.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with a physician, values continuity of care, and is interested in rheumatology.
Key Responsibilities
- Patient check-in and intake
- Obtain and document vital signs
- Prepare patients for physician evaluation
- Assist with clinic flow and room turnover
- Taking phone calls when the physician is not seeing patients
- Provide general administrative support as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience as a Medical Assistant (required)
- Experience in rheumatology or a related specialty (highly preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently in a small practice setting
- Comfortable in a dynamic, growing clinic environment
