Job description: Maintenance Technician
Job Summary:
We are a growing HEXPOL company that supplies custom color concentrates and dry color to the plastics industry. We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our midnight shift team as we continue to grow. The ideal candidate will perform building and machine repair work during scheduled and non-scheduled maintenance times, preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance, installation of new equipment, and internal equipment verifications.
Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative and reactive maintenance
- Perform internal equipment verifications
- Assist engineering as required in installation of new equipment
- Inspect building, equipment, and grounds to insure proper condition and safety
- Repair to building and machines as required
- Report inspection findings to Maintenance Manager or appointed designee
- Observe safety and security policies
- Environmental duties include but are not limited to: member of Emergency Response Team, frequent visual inspections of compactor pad for environmental issues, frequent aerosol can puncturing, handling and understanding universal waste needs, and safe oil handling
- Assist manufacturing department with equipment restart after PM and/or repairs
- Notify supervisor if working in non-populated areas of plant for safety purposes
- Regularly check email and perform any training requirements
- Perform other tasks as assigned by Maintenance Manager
- Comply with all company policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- High School or GED Equivalent
- 3 plus years previous experience in basic maintenance preferred
- Welding, plumbing, electrical mechanical basics a plus
- Basic math, reading, and ability to see color
- Ability to lift 50 lbs., be mobile and utilize stairs, ladders, and other maintenance equipment
Compensation:
- Pay starting at $22.00/hr.
- Signing Bonus
