Job Summary:
The QCOS Auditor is responsible for the accurate inspection of finished products and services to ensure they meet all applicable requirements. The QCOS Auditor monitors, tests, and assesses the quality control systems of the Company to make sure all practices and policies comply with internal and external standards and regulations.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- None.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Performs internal process and product audits to verify compliance with quality requirements, such as customer specific requirements and certification standards.
- Performs all static torque measurements on the product independently, in a timely manner and in the required frequency, and documents results as necessary.
- Maintains all equipment used for measurements by performing daily TPMs and reporting any inaccuracies and issues to the supervisor immediately.
- Monitors and reports NOK parts and results daily and promptly responds to interruptions on the production line caused by NOK parts.
- Participates in Measurement System Analysis studies under the direction of the Quality Manager and Quality Engineer as needed.
- Maintains and optimizes processes for error proofing and shares opportunities for improvement with the Quality Engineer.
- Maintains and archives documents as required and provides records of past and current measurements upon request.
- Responds to part quality or build quality issues on the production line, initiates the necessary problem solving and alerts quality management if necessary.
- Performs EPC inspections under the direction of the Quality Manager and Quality Engineer as required.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to work in both physical and electronic filing systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the proven ability to adapt to different cultures and environments.
- Strong technical literacy with the ability to use a variety of electronic systems independently.
- Ability to understand and perform basic math operations, sometimes without technical aid.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 1 year of professional experience in a quality role preferred.
- At least 1 year of professional experience in a manufacturing environment required.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to spend multiple hours a day standing and walking on the production floor.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
