Dental Assistant – Mobile Pediatric Dental Anesthesia
Rhema Anesthesia is seeking a professional, punctual, and reliable Dental Assistant to support our mobile pediatric dental anesthesia team. This is a per diem, as-needed position assisting with office-based pediatric anesthesia at dental practices throughout the greater Seattle area. The ideal candidate is adaptable, detail-oriented, comfortable working with children and parents, and able to assist with equipment setup, patient flow, and mobile anesthesia logistics.

Pay
Training: 1–2 days at $20.00/hour
After training: $30.00/hour and up, depending on experience
Schedule
- Weekdays only
- Schedule varies based on case days
- Usual early starts
- Travel between dental offices required

About the Role
This role supports a mobile anesthesia model serving pediatric dental offices. The Dental Assistant helps with equipment transport, setup, breakdown, room flow, and patient support so the anesthesiologist can focus on safe, efficient patient care.
Responsibilities
- Transport and carry anesthesia equipment and supplies between office locations
- Set up anesthesia equipment and assist with room preparation before cases
- Assist with turnover, cleaning, and equipment sterilization after cases
- Support the anesthesiologist during cases as directed
- Communicate professionally with parents/guardians and help maintain a calm, supportive environment
- Assist with moving and positioning pediatric patients, including carrying sleeping patients when needed
- Break down equipment and return items to the appropriate storage location
- Follow directions, checklists, and safety protocols carefully
- Perform additional duties as needed to support smooth clinic flow
Requirements
- Professional, punctual, and reliable
- Comfortable working with children in a clinical environment
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact professionally with parents and clinical staff
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel to different dental office locations
- Able to follow directions, checklists, and safety protocols closely
- Able to lift and carry up to 60 lbs
Preferred Qualifications
- Dental assisting background or experience strongly preferred
- BLS/CPR certification preferred
- IV-related skills or experience preferred
- Prior experience in pediatrics, sedation, or anesthesia support is a plus
