Receiving Specialist

Job Description

RH is seeking a Receiving Specialist to join our Dennis & Leen/Formations Workshop located in Torrance, CA. This role is essential in ensuring our materials, components, and finished goods flow seamlessly through the workshop. The ideal candidate brings precision, organization, and a commitment to quality, supporting the craftsmanship and excellence that define our luxury antique-style furniture. As a key operational partner, you will help maintain accuracy, efficiency, and integrity across all incoming inventory.

Your Responsibilities

• Receive and verify all incoming shipments, ensuring contents match packing lists and purchase orders while upholding quality and accuracy standards
• Inspect materials and components for defects, damage, or discrepancies, confirming serial and batch numbers align with documentation
• Organize and maintain inventory, creating and updating tags/tickets in systems such as Odoo, and ensuring stock areas remain clean, accessible, and well-labeled
• Support production flow by sorting and distributing materials to the appropriate departments (e.g., distressing, touch-ups) based on production orders and priorities
• Document all receiving activity by recording transactions in company systems, maintaining logs, and preparing labels for incoming items
• Manage returns processing, including inspecting, photographing, and documenting returned goods (Memos and RMAs) for accurate reference by production teams
• Partner cross-functionally with purchasing, production teams, drivers, and accessory support to ensure clear communication and timely information sharing
• Support warehouse operations by assisting with supply ordering, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and operating forklifts/material-handling equipment when needed
  
  

Our Requirements

• 2 years of experience in receiving, warehouse operations, or shipping/receiving environments
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to uphold quality standards in a fast-paced workshop
• Familiarity with inventory management platforms; Odoo experience a plus
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Frequently lift and move up to 50 lbs regularly and safely
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching throughout the shifts
• Comfortable working in a workshop/warehouse environment with varying temperatures, noise levels, and material-handling activity
