About the Position: Performs work related to the practical and technical aspects of office administration including issues related to managing appointments, receiving visitors, general office management, mail distribution, budgeting, supply management and purchasing, training, time keeping, data processing, vehicle fleet management, property management, project tracking and records management.

To qualify at GS-05, applicants must possess one year of experience OR combination of experience and education equivalent to the next lower grade/level (GS-04). Experience is defined as:
1. Experience performing general office management like filing, faxing, emailing, and/or compiling documentation. 2. Experience managing office calendars or appointments.
OR
Education: Four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages.
To qualify at GS-06, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade/level (GS-05). Specialized experience is defined as:
1. Experience completing general office management tasks 2. Experience preparing formal and informal office correspondence.
To qualify at GS-07, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade/level (GS-06).Specialized experience is defined as:
1. Experience with timekeeping, budgeting, and/or monitoring expenses. 2. Experience using data in financial and contracting automation systems.
