Server/Bartender

Servers:

Key responsibilities:

• Greet guests and present menus
• Explain menu items, specials, and answer questions
• Take accurate food and drink orders
• Enter orders into the POS system
• Deliver food and beverages to tables
• Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction
• Handle complaints or issues professionally
• Process payments (cash, card, etc.)
• Reset tables and maintain cleanliness

Skills & qualities:

• Strong communication and people skills
• Good memory and attention to detail
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Basic math skills (for bills and tips)
• Friendly, patient attitude
• Verify identification and age requirements of customers
• Mix traditional and creative cocktails
• Process payment from customers
• Clean glasses and bar utensils
• Make suggestions based on customer tastes and preferences
• Record and balance cash receipts and prepare cash deposits
• Open and maintain tabs throughout their shift
• Build a rapport with regular customers to create a positive atmosphere

Bartender:

Key responsibilities:

• Mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks
• Know recipes for classic cocktails and house specials
• Check IDs and ensure responsible alcohol service
• Maintain cleanliness of the bar area
• Track inventory and restock supplies
• Handle cash and process payments
• Engage with customers and create a welcoming atmosphere
• Sometimes prepare simple food items (depending on the place)

Skills & qualities:

• Knowledge of drinks, liquor, and mixing techniques
• Strong multitasking and time management
• Good judgment (especially for alcohol service)
• Customer service and conversational skills
• Physical stamina (long hours standing)

Job Types: Temporary, Part-time, Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $55.00 per hour
