Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Vehicle Technician to join our automotive service team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair, diagnostics, and maintenance, with experience working in dealership or independent repair environments. This role involves diagnosing and repairing a variety of vehicle systems, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring customer vehicles are serviced efficiently and accurately. The Vehicle Technician will play a key role in maintaining our reputation for quality service and customer satisfaction.
Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics on vehicles using advanced automotive electrical and mechanical systems.
- Conduct repairs and maintenance including oil changes, brake repairs, tire services, suspension work, alignments, shocks & struts, and transmission repairs.
- Repair and replace vehicle components such as HVAC systems, air brakes, diesel engines, and electrical wiring.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering tools, and specialized automotive equipment to complete repairs.
- Conduct vehicle inspections to identify issues related to the engine, transmission, suspension, HVAC systems, and more.
- Perform assembly and disassembly of vehicle parts during repair processes.
- Maintain detailed service records for each vehicle serviced.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
- Assist customers by explaining repair needs and providing excellent customer service.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Service Technician or Dealership Technician with automotive repair expertise.
- Strong mechanical knowledge across various vehicle systems including transmissions, electrical systems, HVAC, suspension, brakes, and diesel engines.
- Experience with automotive diagnostics tools and troubleshooting techniques.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering equipment, and other automotive repair tools.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
- Knowledge of auto body repair is a plus but not required.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Relevant certifications or ASE certifications are preferred but not mandatory.
