Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and set up audio and video equipment including microphones, speakers, projectors, displays, and control systems in diverse venues.
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of AV systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot software issues, hardware malfunctions, and connectivity problems promptly to minimize downtime.
- Use hand tools and cabling techniques to install wiring, connectors, and other mechanical components following schematics and electrical standards.
- Perform field service tasks such as system upgrades, repairs, and adjustments on-site at client locations or event venues.
- Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to diagnose issues accurately.
- Collaborate with clients and team members to understand requirements and deliver tailored audiovisual solutions that meet specifications.
- Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, repairs, maintenance logs, and troubleshooting steps for future reference.
Experience
- Proven experience working with electrical systems related to E & I (Electrical & Instrumentation) or telecommunication infrastructure.
- Strong background in low voltage wiring, cabling, and electrical safety standards.
- Hands-on experience with software troubleshooting for AV control systems or related applications.
- Familiarity with computer hardware setup and troubleshooting in multimedia environments.
- Mechanical knowledge for installing mounting brackets, enclosures, or other physical components of AV equipment.
- Ability to read schematics accurately and implement wiring or system modifications accordingly.
- Prior field service experience supporting AV or telecommunication systems is highly desirable.
