Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic female Customer Service Assistant/Cashier to join our team in a fast-paced retail environment. This position involves managing transactions, assisting customers with their inquiries, and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience.
Responsibilities
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently to process customer transactions
- Provide outstanding customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly
- Assist in merchandising and stocking shelves to maintain an organized store layout
- Conduct product demonstrations to enhance customer engagement and promote sales
- Utilize upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities during customer interactions
- Maintain accurate cash handling practices and ensure the cash register is balanced at the end of each shift
- Supervise junior staff when necessary, providing guidance and support to enhance team performance
- Uphold phone etiquette when answering customer calls, ensuring professionalism at all times
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and improve store operations
Qualifications
- Over 18 years old, Bilingual, available hours, responsible (kitchen) making preparations, drinks, snacks..., customer service.
- Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred
- Strong basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math calculations
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective customer interaction
- Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing service for diverse customers
- Familiarity with grocery store operations is advantageous
- Experience in supervising staff or leading teams is beneficial but not required
- Ability to perform product demos effectively to engage customers and drive sales
- A proactive approach to upselling products and services during customer interactions
