We are seeking a highly skilled Internal Business Controls / Internal Controls Consultant with experience in the Banking and Financial Services Industry. The ideal candidate will have expertise in risk management, compliance, and control frameworks, with hands-on experience using tools like Archer for governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) management. This Consulting role will require HYBRID 4 DAYS ONSITE at the Client Location in NY, NY (Manhattan).

What you will work on
- Determine whether the Client's technology control objectives meet industry standards, and recommend improvements where applicable.
- Map library of internal controls to the core set of technology control objectives.
- Ensure control objectives and associated internal controls are written in a clear, consistent manner in accordance with governing policies and procedures.
- Utilize Client proprietary tools or vendor tools like Archer for governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including compliance, audit, and risk management, to strengthen Technology controls.
- Lead control testing initiatives, identifying weaknesses and recommending improvements.
- Provide strategic guidance on regulatory changes and their impact on business operations.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to control processes, risk assessments, and remediation plans.
- Support internal audits and regulatory examinations by preparing reports and responding to inquiries.
- Bachelor's or other Advanced Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- Professional certifications such as CIA, CRISC, or CISA are preferred.
- 5 years of experience in internal controls, risk management and/or compliance within financial services.
- Hands-on experience with tools like Archer for risk and compliance management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for identifying control gaps.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Variety of workplace arrangements including hybrid, remote, onsite.
- Compensation commensurate with employee qualifications, experience, and other factors including geographic location, market, and operational factors.
- Pay Range: TARGETED HOURLY PAY RANGE IS $65-90 PER HOUR, COMMENSURATE WITH EXPERIENCE.
