This position is located at (VSFB) Vandenberg Space Force Base, California.
This position is not eligible for telecommuting.
Salary determined by Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Essential Functions
- Operate oscilloscopes, RF signal generators, function synthesizers, spectrum analyzers, receivers, power meters and digital volt meters.
- Operate various antennas for Frequency Protection and monitoring.
- Operate and perform Direction finding of RF signals using the Rohde & Schwarz DF/Monitoring system.
- Determine malfunctions and troubleshoot to the unit replacement level and return equipment to operational condition.
- Climb towers to perform these functions.
- Prepare and maintain Master Station Logs, Frequency Clearance/Protection checklists.
Required Skills
- Ability to make decisions based on the information at their disposal

- Ability to exercise diplomacy within a team environment
Required Experience
- Associates Degree in Electronics Technology, or equivalent military training or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Two (2) or more years technician experience
- Experience with Microsoft Office computer programs
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to climb towers up to 50 ft.
- Work with their hands and use hand tools
- The flexibility to work non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project or mission requirements
- Must have an active Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Security Clearance, or higher, which includes U.S. citizenship
- Valid U.S. Driver's License required

- This position is assigned to Vandenberg Space Force Base, California.

The hourly rate for this role is determined by a Collective Bargaining Unit and ranges from $34.06 to $42.53. RGNext considers several factors when extending an offer for employment, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training and preferred skills and knowledge.
