Hours: Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm
RGE Texas Molding, part of RGE Group, a global plastics injection molding company headquartered in the United Kingdom is hiring a Quality Assurance & Compliance Specialist for our brand-new Schertz facility. You will be part of an extended Quality team across the RGE group and will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the company’s quality management system (QMS) and safety programs in a small manufacturing environment. This hands-on role ensures products meet customer, ISO, and regulatory requirements through inspections, documentation, SOPs, and continuous improvement while supporting OSHA compliance and a safe workplace
The first 3 months will be home-based (remote), focusing on documentation, system setup, procedure development, and virtual training. After this onboarding period, the role transitions to primarily on-site at the facility to handle physical inspections, audits, and day-to-day operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a small-team environment and wants to make a direct impact on quality and safety
Remote Phase (First 3 Months):
• Review and update existing quality documentation, SOPs, work instructions, and forms for the new site based on current Group procedures and documentation
• Develop and organize digital quality records and document control systems.
• Assist in preparing for Customer audits, ISO audits and internal compliance reviews (remotely).
• Create training materials and conduct virtual training sessions wit production staff.
• Analyze current quality data and recommend process improvements.
On-Site Phase (Ongoing):
Continuing on all the above and;
• Perform incoming, in-process, and final quality inspections of raw materials, components, and
finished goods using standard measuring tools.
• Document inspection results, identify non-conformances, and manage corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
• Maintain and improve the Quality Management System (QMS) in alignment with ISO 900 or equivalent standards.
• Conduct workplace safety inspections, risk
assessments, and support SHA compliance activities.
• Manage paperwork, records retention, and audit readiness.
• Track quality metrics (defect rates, scrap, rework, on-time delivery) and generate reports.
• Collaborate with production and operations teams to resolve quality issues quickly.
• Lead or support root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead external audits from RGE clients
• Coordinate incoming and external deliveries and customer visits to site during start up phases
• Carry out any reasonable task requested by manager
Qualifications
• Experience: 2–5 years in quality assurance or compliance within a manufacturing environment small company experience preferred).
• Knowledge: Familiarity with ISO 9001, OSHA regulations, and basic quality tools (CAPA, root case analysis, 5 Whys, etc.).
• Skills:
Proficient with inspection tool (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.)
Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel for tracking and reporting.
Excellent written and verbal communication
for documentation and training.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
Can-do attitude
• Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, or a relate field preferred (or equivalent experience).
• Certifications (a plus): ASQ certifications, ISO internal Auditor, OSHA1
0/30-hour, or similar.
• Other Requirements:
Must be eligible to work in the United States.
-Reliable home office setup for the initial remote period.
-Willing and able to commute to the manufacturing facility in Texas during after the remote onboarding phase.
-Ability to work independently and a part of a small team and across time zones for Group interactions
