Experienced Cabinet Maker and/or Spray Finisher

Experienced Finisher / Cabinet Maker HIRING IMMEDIATELY

Well-established Custom Architectural Millwork Shop seeking an Experienced Finisher / Cabinet Maker at our facility in Lowell, MA to work on high-end commercial cabinetry.

Our ideal candidate has experience in an automated shop with any or all of the following: finishing, staining and color matching. CNC and edge bander is a plus. Candidates must have experience with spray finish of all kinds, stain matching and building commercial cabinetry in an automated wood and plastic laminate shop. We are looking for someone who has the desire to successfully produce the high quality products our clients expect.

This is a full-time, hourly position with standard hours 6:30am to 3:00pm M-F reporting to the Production Manager.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Manage finishing department to ensure smooth process and task completion
• Finishing, staining and color matching
• Operate and maintain spray equipment
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in production, manufacturing in the millwork industry; specifically familiar with spray finish, stain matching, plastic laminates and casework goods
• Familiarity with blueprints and technical drawings
• Familiarity with manufacturing, machinery and equipment
• Ability to handle physical workload
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with proper lifting techniques
• Ability to stand on feet for 8 hour shift
• Troubleshoot and repair any mechanical failures a plus; including but not limited to performing routine preventative maintenance
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• General production work, specifically cabinet assembly
• Preparing, organizing and maintaining material, product and tools as necessary
• Learning processes, machine set-up and problem solving techniques
• Responsible for reviewing drawings to ensure product, accessories and components are ready for assembly
• Maintain consistent fast-paced work flow to meet project deadlines
• Able to check own work to achieve no defects

Requirements

• 3-5 years of finishing experience working with automated machinery and commercial cabinetry desired
• Experience with cabinet construction and quality control is required
• Reliable transportation to and from work is required

This position will be subject to noise from automated machinery. This position requires someone to cut, lift, and transport wood and other materials from floor to waist height on a regular basis. This is a standing position and frequent movement around shop floor is required. No travel is required for this position. All personnel may be required to perform duties outside of their normal responsibilities from time to time, as needed.

Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
