The Registered Architect at RGB Custom Builders is responsible for transforming client visions into buildable, beautiful, and practical custom homes.
You will work closely with RGB Design Consultants, estimators, and construction teams to develop custom home plans, modify portfolio home designs, produce permit-ready construction drawings, and create renderings that help clients confidently move through the design process.

- Design custom homes based on information gathered by RGB Design Consultants, site conditions, budget requirements, and project goals
- Collaborate with RGB Design Consultants to transform client ideas into practical, buildable residential designs
- Balance creativity, functionality, and construction realities throughout the design process
- Modify existing RGB portfolio and spec home plans to fit client preferences and site-specific requirements
- Develop permit-ready construction documents with accuracy and attention to detail
- Coordinate revisions efficiently while maintaining project timelines
- Produce high-quality renderings, visual presentations, and walkthrough materials
- Support RGB Design Consultants by helping clients visualize their future homes
- Participate in design meetings and presentations as needed
- Work closely with estimating and construction teams to ensure designs are efficient, practical, and aligned with company standards
- Collaborate on site planning, building placement, grading considerations, and design feasibility
- Support project teams throughout the design and construction process
- Ensure plans comply with applicable building codes, zoning requirements, and industry standards
- Maintain architectural accuracy across all drawings and documentation
- Continuously improve plan quality, efficiency, and design standards
- Pennsylvania Registered Architect license required
- 5 years of residential architectural design experience preferred
- Strong portfolio demonstrating custom residential projects
- Proficiency in architectural drafting, modeling, and rendering software
- Deep understanding of residential construction methods and building systems
- Ability to balance design creativity with real-world construction requirements
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Organized, responsive, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience with custom homes, luxury homes, or portfolio home modifications preferred
- Professional Engineering (P.E.) license or engineering background is a plus

- Competitive salary: $70,000 – $80,000 annually, based on experience
