About the Position: Serve in a dual capacity 1) stationed in the pilot house on a Class 1, self-propelled dustpan dredge, engaged primarily in open channel dredging operations and is immedialely responsible for the operation of hydraulic and electrical controls, 2) operates a 22-ton barge mounted crane with 72-foot boom.

Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of a(n) Dredging Equipment Operator~ without more than normal supervision perform the common operation of a 25-ton, diesel-powered, barge-mounted, mobile crane. I can perform both marine and land-based crane operations . I work under normal supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed.

- Physical Effort: In performing duties of this position, incumbent is continually reaching for and manipulating controls simultaneously, using hands and feet. This requires moderate physical effort, since controls are relatively easy to move, requiring less than 10 pounds of effort.
- Working Conditions: Work is performed both inside Pilot House and outside on deck when making inspections, repairs and overhauls to engines and dredging equipment. When working outside is expose to fumes, smoke, grease and odors, noise, steam burns, cuts and infections, injury caused by whiplash from broken cables and by working around moving machinery.
Salary : $32
