- Implementing parallel execution and caching strategies to reduce latency and external data warehouse calls.
- Instrumenting complex systems to diagnose performance issues and enhance transparency.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to support platform capabilities like internal query languages.
- Authoring technical proposals, mentoring engineers, and planning long-term system roadmaps.
- 10 years of backend engineering experience with expertise in computation, performance, and systems architecture.
- Proficiency in parallel execution strategies, caching, and remote data warehouse computation trade-offs.
- Strong problem-solving skills for large-scale, complex data systems, with experience reviewing code.
- Ability to translate abstract problems into clear technical solutions and roadmaps.
- Excellent communication skills and experience leading remote technical teams.
- Proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript; additional experience with Kubernetes, Docker, cloud infrastructure, and frontend is a plus.
