- Lead engineering projects up to $5M from concept to commercialization, focusing on designing and optimizing tissue converting equipment and manufacturing processes.
- Ensure safety compliance by championing a strong safety culture aligned with EHS standards and regulations.
- Apply engineering principles to improve operational performance, troubleshoot complex technical issues through root-cause analysis, and develop innovative solutions to enhance safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency.
- Collaborate with operations, maintenance, reliability teams, and external vendors to meet business goals.
- Provide occasional technical support as needed.
- Bachelor's or higher in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- At least 3 years of technical or operational experience, with recent graduates considered if relevant experience is demonstrated.
- Knowledge of manufacturing systems, machine safety, mechanical design, automation controls, project execution, asset management, and Lean principles.
- Ability to work independently or lead teams to complete projects efficiently.
- Strong teamwork, collaboration, and results-driven mindset.
- Over 5 years in plant and staff roles with manufacturing and process technologies, including tissue-making, winding, web handling, and OEM equipment design.
- Experience working with external technical service providers.
- Natural leader, proactive, committed to integrity and quality.
- Focus on continuous improvement and safety culture.
- Excellent problem-solving and project management skills.
