About the CompanyR.G Mearn is a family-owned construction and safety supply company. We are looking for a driven and relationship-focused Outside Sales Representative to help expand our customer base and grow revenue in our target markets.
Position SummaryThe Outside Sales Representative will be responsible for generating new business, building long-term customer relationships, managing sales pipelines, and achieving sales targets. This role requires regular travel within the Greater Boston / New England area and strong communication and negotiation skills.
Key Responsibilities• Prospect and develop new business opportunities within assigned territory
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and decision-makers
• Conduct in-person client meetings, presentations, and product demonstrations
• Manage sales pipeline and update CRM consistently
• Meet or exceed sales goals
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure excellent customer service
• Monitor market trends and competitor activity
Qualifications• 2 years of outside sales or business development experience
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals
• Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
• Self-motivated and highly organized
• Ability to travel regularly within assigned territory
• Experience using CRM software preferred
• Valid driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications• Experience in construction supplies
• Existing network within target market
