Responsibilities
- Assist with concrete mixing, pouring, and finishing to create smooth, level surfaces that meet project specifications.
- Set up and dismantle formwork and scaffolding using hand tools and power tools to shape concrete structures accurately.
- Install rebar reinforcement according to blueprints and schematics to ensure structural integrity.
- Operate heavy equipment such as concrete pumps and mixers safely and efficiently on-site.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute tasks precisely.
- Perform heavy lifting and manual labor required for site preparation, material handling, and cleanup.
- Support other trades including masonry, carpentry, roofing, plastering, or tile laying as needed during renovation or restoration projects.
Qualifications
- Prior construction site experience with a focus on concrete work or related trades preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge of tools, power equipment, and heavy machinery used in concrete installation.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings with clarity.
- Familiarity with rebar installation, form setting, concrete finishing techniques, and use of hand tools.
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to heavy lifting, heavy equipment operation, scaffolding setup, and site hazard awareness.
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to perform heavy lifting and sustained manual labor throughout the workday.
- Valid driver’s license for commercial driving or operating heavy equipment is a plus but not mandatory.
