The Foodservice Cook – Lead Dinner is responsible for preparing, cooking, and serving nutritious, appealing, and well-balanced meals in accordance with school nutrition guidelines and food safety standards. This position ensures that all meals meet established portion and dietary requirements while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and organization in the kitchen. The cook works collaboratively with other foodservice staff to support smooth meal service, manage inventory, and uphold a positive dining experience for students and staff. The cook reports directly to the Foodservice Manager.

Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate daily meal production for campus residents and staff, including organization, supervision, and preparation of both hot and cold dinner foods.
- Prepare meals using scratch and speed-scratch cooking methods.
- Oversee and support timely delivery of meals to resident programs.
- Ensure high-quality meal preparation that adheres to resident food allergies, special dietary needs, program guidelines, kitchen recipes, and portion control standards.
- effectively as part of a kitchen team and work independently as needed to produce meals efficiently and on schedule.
- Assist in preparing weekend and holiday menus, contributing to planning and execution as required.
- Maintain compliance with kitchen sanitation, food safety, and workplace safety standards at all times.
- Participate in required training programs, including both in-person and virtual sessions.
- Minimum of 3-years foodservice experience
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
