Director of Financial Planning & Lead Servicing Advisor

RFG Advisory
Santa Clarita, CA Full Time
POSTED ON 9/19/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 10/17/2026
Pierson Wealth Management is a fiduciary, planning-first wealth management firm helping clients navigate retirement and other major life transitions. Using a proprietary process, the firm delivers comprehensive, life-centered advice across retirement, investments, tax strategy, insurance, Medicare, Social Security, and estate planning.

The Director of Financial Planning & Lead Servicing Advisor is a senior role built around four responsibilities: serving as the primary advisor for an established group of client relationships, leading financial planning across the firm, directly managing two Client Service Associates, and keeping the founder focused and prepared for every client meeting. This is the right role for an accomplished CFP® professional who brings deep expertise in fixed annuities and fixed income, loves working with clients, and finds genuine satisfaction in developing a team and running a practice at a high level, without the pressure of building a book of business from scratch.

Location: Santa Clarita, CA (full time in office)

What You'll Do

Client Advisory & Relationship Management

  • Serve as the primary advisor for an established group of client relationships.
  • Lead client meetings, identify planning opportunities, and translate complex strategies into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Ensure client recommendations and follow-up are executed accurately and consistently.
  • Apply deep knowledge of fixed annuities and fixed income to deliver well-rounded, client-specific guidance.

Founder Meeting Preparation & Planning Support

  • Look ahead at the founder's calendar two weeks out and identify every client meeting requiring preparation.
  • Pull client records, prepare comprehensive meeting reports, surface planning opportunities, and flag annuity renewals ahead of each appointment.
  • Prepare the founder fully for each meeting so she can walk in ready to deliver; the Director prepares, the founder delivers.
  • Rely on the CSA team to have baseline reports and paperwork ready; coordinate and review their output as part of your prep workflow.
  • Anticipate what the founder needs and keep the meeting pipeline moving without prompting.

Financial Planning Leadership

  • Oversee the development and delivery of comprehensive financial plans across the firm.
  • Provide expertise across retirement, investments, tax planning, insurance, estate planning, Social Security, and legacy planning.
  • Review complex cases and provide planning guidance to the team.
  • Stay current on planning strategies, tax law changes, annuity products, and fixed income markets.
  • Continually improve the firm's planning processes and client deliverables.

CSA Team Management & Office Leadership

  • Directly manage and develop two Client Service Associates, providing day-to-day direction, coaching, and accountability.
  • Establish clear expectations around meeting preparation, paperwork, cash replenishment, and client follow-up.
  • Work collaboratively with the CSA team, delegating effectively and reviewing their output to maintain quality.
