Rig Hands (Driller, Derrick Hand, Motors and Floors)

RFC Drilling is currently hiring for all rig positions: Including Driller, Derricks, Motors and Floor hands. 14/14 Schedule with no split weeks.

Our current fleet is made up of four rigs ranging in size from 1,200 HP to 2,000 HP and deployed throughout the Gulf Coast region.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities may include the following.

Other duties may be assigned depending on Position.

• Assist in all rig operations.
• Lifting (in excess of 50 lbs.), digging, shoveling, and bending while operating equipment and collecting samples in the field
• Trenching, plumbing and piping
• Loading equipment and transporting it to the job site
• Equipment operation specific to the project
• Completion of daily paperwork (worksheets, driver logs, etc.) under the direction of a supervisor
• Clear communication with crew and clients
• On-call availability for scheduled rotation and or as a needed basis

Qualification/Requirements:

• At least 18 years old
• Weekends and long hours required
• The ability to travel and work at remote sites as needed
• Strong reasoning skills
• The ability to perform mathematical calculations
• The ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Must complete and pass a pre-employment physical assessment and drug screen.
• Subject to random drug testing & alcohol with company policy
• One year exploration drilling experience with a knowledge of well control preferred

SPECIAL JOB DIMENSIONS:

• This is a safety sensitive position.
• The work is performed outside with exposure to various and sometime extreme weather conditions.
• Exposure to fumes, gases, noise, moving/mechanical parts, vibrations, high pressures, electricity, and various chemicals.
• Must be able to work 14 days on, 14 days off schedule, or 14 days on and 7 days off schedule. It varies by rig.
