This is a full-time on-site role for a Heavy Civil Estimator located in Pittsburg, KS. The Heavy Civil Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for various construction projects by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and related documents. Daily tasks include conducting site visits, gathering material and labor costs, managing bid submissions, communicating with subcontractors and suppliers, and identifying potential risks and opportunities in project estimates.
- Experience in cost estimation, project estimation, and bid preparation
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency with estimation software and tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations
- Previous experience in heavy civil construction is beneficial
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred
