Essential Functions of a Sales Specialist
- Coordinate the sales team and assist with recruiting and training new hires.
- Provide product demonstrations to staff and clients and take the lead in resolving complaints.
- Analyze sales team performance and schedule training/refresher sessions accordingly.
- Conduct market research and share findings with the team.
- Work alongside the team to draw up strategies to increase customer base.
- Set sales targets and implementing incentives.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts and allocate resources so targets are met.
- Manage a network of vendors and suppliers.
- Maintain excellent relationships with customers that are built on trust and encourage the rest of the sales team to follow this example.
- Keep up-to-date with advancements in marketing.
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in related field, or combination of education and experience.
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business or similar.
- Valid driver's license.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to think on your feet.
- Excellent customer service and leadership skills.
- Strong networking abilities.
- Ability to diagnose problems and find solutions.
- Strong degree of diplomacy and the ability to work with a range of different people.
Preferred Education and Experience
- High proficiency of PC systems, tools, and applications.
