Focused on delivering high quality and affordable diagnostic imaging services including vascular and interventional procedures, we pride ourselves on our continuous efforts in building our reputation while delivering exceptional patient care.
Our Vascular Interventional Center is seeking a highly motivated and independent medical assistant willing to work in conjunction with a physician in seeing consults, follow-ups, and providing coverage for patients under treatment. In addition, this position will encompass front office duties including, by not limited to answering phones, insurance verification and eligibility. This position provides quality patient care including exam, diagnosis, treatment, education and counseling for clients.
Requirements
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:
- Possess any applicable certifications, as required by the state of California.
- Must have excellent communication skills and be committed to providing the highest level of customer service (Spanish Language Skills a Must).
- Ability to work independently and as a team member.
- Ability to diplomatically communicate and interact well with patients and staff.
- Able to demonstrate mature judgment, initiative, and critical thinking.
- Possess a warm and caring manner.
- Current CPR certification is required.
- Cleaning and sterilizing the procedure room.
- Assembling and arranging the necessary equipment, sterile instruments, and materials for the procedure.
- Assist in daily patient medication and prescription management.
Description of Roles and Responsibilities
Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Consult with patient to obtain complete medical records for pertinent data prior to patient visit, including history and physical charting.
- Organize medical charts per Physician’s preference.
- Update, review and maintain current patient information/demographic data (i.e., surgeries, imaging procedures, specialist visits).
- Assist in daily patient medication and prescription management
- Any other duties delegated by physician and/ or radiation therapist
- Answer and route phone calls accordingly
- Schedule patient appointments, consultations, and follow-ups
- Insurance verification and eligibility
- Proficient computer skills required.
